Rolawn and The London Lawn Turf Company reach agreement with North West Turf Limited in website disputes.

Rolawn, the UK's largest turf grower and leading topsoil supplier and its Platinum Partner stockist, The London Lawn Turf Company (TLLTC), have reached an out of court agreement with Northwest Turf Limited regarding Northwest Turf’s websites www.turfsuppliers.com and www.londonlawnturf.com.
Rolawn claimed that the website www.turfsuppliers.com infringed the copyright in its own website www.rolawn.co.uk. TLLTC issued proceedings against Northwest Turf in relation to the website www.londonlawnturf.com claiming it was confusingly similar to its trading name and indeed its own site www.londonlawnturf.co.uk. Rolawn has traded with The London Lawn Turf Company for many years. Northwest Turf developed the website www.londonlawnturf.com in early 2009. Both claims were denied by Northwest Turf.
Details of the settlement are confidential but Paul Dawson, Rolawn’s Managing Director stated “We are pleased with the outcome and, as always, we will take all steps necessary to vigorously defend our Intellectual Property rights and to continue to support our customers”
